Hello from Rauchholz Library!

We’re excited to share some great updates from your local library!

Spring Story Time

January 20th—May 5th
Tuesdays at 10:30—11:30 AM

Join Miss Audrey for stories, interactive songs, and fingerplays, a weekly craft, and learning and sensory exploration activities!

For kids ages 2-5 accompanied by a caregiver.

 Jam & Play

January 23rd—May 8th
Fridays at 10:00—11:30 AM

Toddler music & play group at the library! Interactive songs, musical intruments, and a chance for kids to play, share, socialize and for caregivers to network!

For kids ages 0-5 accompanied by a caregiver.

 Anime Club

Tuesdays at 3:00-4:30 AM

Join us for anime club! We'll watch anime, talk about our favorite shows, do anime themed crafts, and try different Japanese snacks! Plus on special food days, we'll learn how to make our own Japanese food like ramen, sushi, onigiri, and more!

For teens 5th-8th grade. Drop-ins welcome!

Sewing: Fun Projects Club

Wednesday, March 4th
5:30-7:30 PM

 Come to the library to get started making simple sewing projects suitable for novices and kids! Our sewing teachers will walk you through the steps and give assistance using the sewing machines. 

Open to ages 8 to adult. Drop-ins welcome!

Fake Cake Nailed-It

Thursday, March 5th
5:30-7:00 PM

Join us at the library  for a food decorating challenge! Groups will compete to build a cake and disguise it with fondant and frosting to make it look like something else! What will it be and which team will "Nail-It"? Prizes will be awarded.

Open to all ages. Registration is required to participate. Please register as a group of 2-5 people.

Fact Finders Story Time: Whoosh!

Wednesday, March 11th
6:00-7:00 PM

We will read an awesome true story about a person, invention, place, or event. Then we'll learn more with fun hands-on activities and a related craft project! This month's book is  "Whoosh! Lonnie Johnson's Super-Soaking Stream of Inventions".

For kids K-5th grade. Drop-ins welcome!

Learn How To Use Your Sewing Machine

Thursday, March 19th
5:30-7:30 PM

Get help setting up your new sewing machine or learning to use an old one! Our teachers will answer your questions and provide assistance with your sewing projects. 

This sewing group is geared for teens and adults, but does not require any previous sewing experience. Drop-ins are welcome!

Kids Book Club: Magic Tree House

Thursday, March 26th
6:00-7:00 PM

We'll have a short discussion about this month's book/topic, have a snack, and do a fun activity and craft that ties in with the story! This month's series is "Magic Tree House" by Mary Pope Osborne. Visit the library to check out a book and sign up today!

For kids K-5th grade. Registration required.
